It is situated approximately 21 kilometres from the town of Blackwater.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe BUMA team have been performing truck and excavator pre-strip operations at Blackwater since December 2021, building upon the extensive experience gained from the previous operations in the area since May 2012. Over 44 million bank cubic metres of material is mined by our fleets annually.\r\n\r\nThe company\u2019s fleet at the mine comprises of the following:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>1 x Hitachi EX8000 excavator<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3 x Caterpillar 6060 excavators<\/li>\r\n \t<li>1 x Hitachi EX3600 excavator<\/li>\r\n \t<li>13 x Komatsu 930E haul trucks<\/li>\r\n \t<li>15 x Caterpillar 789 haul trucks<\/li>\r\n \t<li>1 x Caterpillar 16M grader<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3 x Caterpillar 18M graders<\/li>\r\n \t<li>4 x Caterpillar D10 dozers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>5 x Caterpillar D11 dozers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>4 x Caterpillar 785 water trucks<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Community and Environment<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe mine is adjacent to the town of Blackwater where our workforce is accommodated and integrates into the township. We are proud supporters of local community groups in the area.\r\n\r\nBlackwater is also proud of our First Nations work readiness program that has been operating since 2016.
